Starting your own business can be rewarding. But before you begin, you need to count the cost. Preparation is crucial to your success. You also need adequate knowledge about basic business operation. There are invaluable lessons you can learn from competitors. Competitors are exists to help you learn and understand your own weaknesses. You must never underestimate you competitors but be willing to learn from them. Probably, you need to learn and apply “Blue Ocean Strategy” to put your competitors in better perspective.
4. Focus on Highest Value Business Activities
Building a business system is relatively easy, but maintaining and developing your business is difficult. The requirement for successful long term business is the ability to focus on highest value business activities that can make a big difference to your company both in short and long terms. Focusing on highest value activities is probably the most difficult parts, but once you have the habits of doing things that matter most, all other things can be put into better perspective and solved easily.
5. Create Simple Yet Effective and Productive Business System.
You don’t need to be perfect to begin your own business. What you must do is to create system to handle daily business activities smoothly and successful. When the system is established, you can focus on developing your business to the next level of advancement.
